March 22, 2006

Blast Podcast has confirmed that CEO, Nikhil Hasija, will be attending and speaking at iSummit 2006.

The conference is described as:

iSUMMIT 2006: Content That Pays is a high-level conference dedicated the business of content on interactive platforms.

ISUMMIT plenary sessions will offer major topics such as "Switching Channels: Building Multi-Platform Strategies for Audience and Revenue" while break-out sessions offer specialized information on a range of related topics such as "Up in the Air: Where is the Money in Mobile?" and "The New British Invasion". Providing delegates with the big picture and opportunities to explore topics of interest.

Over a period of two-days in downtown Toronto iSUMMIT will examine the business of content and how the transformation of the entertainment industries are quickly changing traditional relationships between the media and end users - turning "audiences" into "players" and possibly even the "content" itself.

Mr. Hasija will be a panel speaker on day three for the event, "Sex, Lies and Podcasting". The theme for this event is:

2006 is slated to be the year of video online. Vodcasting (video podcasting) is currently at the forefront of the medium and seems to be playing a central role in democratizing the creation and distribution of video content. But with millions of new content creators and distributors, will the marketplace become too highly fragmented for sustainable revenue models ? Will syndication become a highly effective point-to-point delivery strategy? Who will the new tastemakers be and how will they collect their due?
